Trex is Australia’s home grown national cross tri series.
Established in 2007 in Queensland, TreX has embraced the truly unique experience of ‘off road’ triathlon and today boasts seven events across three states in some Australia’s most iconic and stunning destinations in this spectacular land down under
TreX challenges participants to get off road and take on a challenge against mother nature in some of the most demanding and diverse terrain that the country has to offer. From stunning beaches, to historic goldfields, remote rocky outcrops, rich rainforests, all the way to Australia’s spectacular Snowy Mountains, which also played host to the 2016 ITU Cross Triathlon World Championships.
Trex Triathlon inspires triathletes to tread the path less traveled in this wild and beautiful land.
Presented by In2Adventure, Trex Triathlon is a series for all ages and abilities. It takes the traditional triathlon format (Swim – Bike – Run) and adds an element of dirt, mud and hard-core action as we head off road with a Swim, Mountain Bike and Trail Run.
All TreX Events include:
- Standard;
- Duathlon;
- AquaBike;
- Sprint;
- Junior;
- Teaser; and
- Dirt Kids.
Five of the seven TreX events are also coupled with a weekend MultiSport Festival, offering even more opportunities to explore some amazing Australian destinations at Trail Run Australia.
