In February the Snowy Mountains will come alive with OFF ROAD action at the Oceania Cross Triathlon Regional Championships and the Australian National Championships. Located in the heart of Australia’s High County, and starting at an altitude of 1100m with Australia’s highest peak, Mt Kosciuszko as the backdrop, the course is set to delight and challenge athletes of all levels.
Based at beautiful Lake Crackenback Resort and Spa, home of the 2016 ITU World Champs, this course includes some of the best fast, flowing single track mountain biking, and gritty off road running found anywhere in Australia and includes a standard, sprint, junior, dirt kids, duathlon and aquabike courses. The event is part of the National TreX Cross Triathlon Series and is hosted by In2Adventure, the team that brought the ITU World Champs to Australia in 2016.
The Oceania Cross Triathlon Championships and Australia National Championships are hosted in conjunction with Trail Run Australia. This ultimate trail running festival takes in some of the most spectacular running trails in the Snowy Mountains and includes the 50k Snowies Ultra as well as a Half Marathon, 11k and 5k trail runs as well as a FREE Kids Mud Rats run.
All in all it’s a weekend of ‘not to be missed’ OFF ROAD action in the heart of Australia’s adventure capital.
Proudly Supporting Freedom Wheels
In2Adventure and the Port Stephens MultiSport Festival are so proud to be supporting Freedom Wheels.
Freedom Wheels are an amazing charity group who build custom bikes for both kids and adults living with a disability. The team of skilled volunteers and staff design, build and deliver the bikes to suit the cognitive and physical needs of the individual. The bikes are more than a means of physical activity but also help with mental health, social inclusion and community engagement.
It is a tremendous cause and such a great opportunity to see even more kids and adults have the opportunity to experience the pure pleasure of just riding a bike. We encourage you to sign up to fundraise or donate today and help kids, like Lila, experience the independence and joy that cycling has to offer.
