Sunshine Coast MultiSport Festival Rescheduled to 5-6 November
We are very happy to announce, that with the incredible support of our many partners and providers that the Sunshine Coast MultiSport Festival which includes the TreX Cross Triathlon Australian Championships and Trail Run Australia due to take place on 22-23 October has been able to be rescheduled to 5th – 6th November.
We fully understand how disappointing it is for everyone that the event could not go ahead this weekend, however, given the current flood warnings for the area and the forecast of up to 80mm of rain due to fall today and tomorrow it was a decision that unfortunately had to be made. It was a bit of a wet, sad journey back from the Sunshine Coast with two full trailers on Friday, thinking of the impact this has had on our athletes and partners.
However, thanks to a lot of support from many people, the event will now take place on the following dates:
- Saturday 5th November | TreX Cross Triathlon and Australian Championships
- Sunday 6th November | Trail Run Australia
We would like to say a special thank you to National Parks Queensland and SEQ Water for working with us to be able to reschedule the event. We have been monitoring the weather situation and based on current forecast the current rain is due to dissipate on Tuesday/Wednesday next week with sunshine forecast.
The good news with the event site is that as most of the trails are higher in sand content they do tend to dry out quite quickly. However, having said that, there are some small clay sections on two of the fire trails and depending how the weather progresses we will look at possibly diverting the course around these sections between CP’s 3 and 4 and between CP’s 5 and 6, but this would be a minor change and we will keep everyone updated about that throughout the coming weeks.
What you need to know about your entry
The new date for the rescheduled festival is 5th and 6th November 2022 and all event details remain the same. As per the event reschedule policy all entries will automatically be transferred to the new event dates, however, if you already have confirmed commitments on these dates, please refer to details in the event reschedule policy and email us at info@in2adventure.com.au with full details by 29th October 2022.

It’s unfortunate that we cannot see into the future but rather we can only make the best decisions, in the interests of our athletes based on the information available to us now.
We are so looking forward to welcoming everyone on the new dates and celebrating the sports we love in this spectacular destination, and we will continue to work hard over the next two weeks to deliver the best event we can for all involved.
